Charles Edward Keeton, 39, Creston, was charged on Union County warrants for domestic abuse assault and possession of a controlled substance 9 a.m. Friday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to Creston Police reports, on Aug. 29, Keeton was a passenger stopped in a vehicle which had a cracked windshield. K9 Baxo was deployed and located a marijuana pipe next to the front passenger seat door which contained burnt marijuana.

On June 28, police responded to domestic abuse call and Keeton fled from the scene. Officers followed him and he did not obey orders. When apprehended, Keeton had narcotics and paraphernalia on him and in his bag. The female victim stated she had bruising on the side of her head and stated Keeton would not let her leave the room after he came in. During an argument, Keeton started choking her, which created bruises on her neck and later forced a pillow over her face.

Keeton was being held in the Union County Jail on $25,300 bond.

Brooke Marie Carter, 31, 319 S. Walnut St. was charged with driving while barred 11:03 a.m. Friday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Carter was being held in the Union County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Kole Andrew Lovely, 23, 510 S. Walnut St., was charged with second-degree harassment 10:41 p.m. Saturday at his residence.

Accorded to a Creston Police report, Lovely made a threatening phone call and texted the victim, “I’ll smash your face.”

Lovely was being held in the Union County Jail on $1,000.

Miracle Ann Freeman, 18, 410 N. Pine St., was charged with assault 11:06 p.m. Saturday at 1001 Cottonwood St.

According to a Creston Police report, The victim stated Freeman shoved him.

Freeman was cited and released.

Miscellaneous

Darlene Loudon, Creston, reported 12:42 p.m. Saturday a blowup nutcracker was punctured and strings of lights were damaged at 601 S. Park St.

Estimated loss was $42.

James Green, Afton, reported 11:08 a.m. Sunday his storage unit was broken into and multiple items were stolen in the 900 block of S. Walnut St.
