Austin Jacob Baudler, 27, 6419 Coll Water Dr., Sugar Land, Texas, was charged 12:26 a.m. Oct. 24 with operating while under the influence on Iowa Highway 92.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Baudler was stopped for driving 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. When the deputy made contact with Baudler, he was visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking a few beers. Baudler under went the field sobriety tests and produced a breath sample determined to be .176% BAC.
Baudler was cited and released.

Geoffrey Laverne McBurney, 34, 219 Pen Oak Ct., Norwalk, was charged Sept. 23 on an Adair County warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while barred at the Dallas County Jail in Adel.
McBurney was released on his own recognizance.

Kimberly Ann Werner, 35, 178 Country Club Dr., Osceola, was charged 7:04 p.m. Oct. 14 with reckless driving in the 2700 block of Iowa Highway 25.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, deputies responded to a vehicle that had crashed through two ditches and ended up in a creek bed. A deputy met Werner without injury and her eyes closed. She was visibly intoxicated, smelled of alcohol and could not unlock the door of her car. When she could exit the vehicle, Werner could not maintain balance and admitted she had a, “fifth,” to drink and deputies wanted to have her evaluated by the Adair County Memorial Hospital since she was not answering questions properly. Witnesses stated she had driven to the east ditch, nearly struck a tree and drove to the west. Werner was using an IV and submitted a horizontal gaze nystagmus test and a lack of convergence test. Werner had cried through out the field sobriety tests and refused to submit a breath sample before the deputy obtained a search warrant. Werner’s BAC was above .08%.
Werner was cited and released.

Annette Rae Exman, 47, 702 Broad St., Adair, was charged 12 a.m. Oct. 21 with fifth-degree theft at 2802 150th St.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Exman had stolen two Wild Game Solutions Switch model trail cameras valued at $80 per unit. Exman believed the victim would use the cameras to spy on her, which is why she stole them. She returned the cameras to the authorities, but did not want them returned to the victim.
Exman was cited and released.

Tresa Sue Slayton, 36, 605 Maple St., Atlantic, was charged 6:00 p.m. Saturday on a Pottawattamie County arrest warrant at 1808 130th St. in Casey
Slayton was being held in the Adair County Jail on $2,000 bond.
