Kirk Monroe Hutchings, 47, 301 S.W. Jackson St., Greenfield, was charged 2:10 a.m. Oct. 10 with operating while under the influence on Iowa Highway 25.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Hutchings was driving and crossed over the middle line multiple times. When stopped, Hutchings said he had a few drinks at a birthday party and was trying to get home. Hutchings failed field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test resulted in .248% BAC.
Hutchings was cited and released.

Carlos Humberto Vanegas Godinez, 56, 83 Glennbrook Ave., Hamden, Connecticut, was charged 9:19 a.m. Oct. 10 with operating while under the influence on Interstate 80.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, when stopped, Vanegas Godinez appeared intoxicated and apologized for driving 101 mph. Vanegas Godinez smelled of alcohol and had a cup of wine in his cup holder. The deputy concluded he was impaired based on his field sobriety test. His vehicle was towed and his two adult nephews were given rides to Stuart. Three open wine containers were found in the back seat. Vanegas Godinez consented to a breathalyzer test at the Adair County Jail which resulted in a BAC of .138. He gave himself Tums and water at the jail.
Vanegas Godinez was being held in the Adair County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Daniel Austin Heinen, 30, 401 Ordway St., Guthrie Center, was charged Oct. 1 on an Adair County warrant for forgery and third-degree fraudulent practice at an undisclosed location.
Heinen was being held in the Adair County Jail on $2,000 bond.

Christopher Michael Fasce, 40, 426 S. 1st St., Greenfield, was charged Oct. 12 on an Adair County warrant for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness at an undisclosed location.
Fasce was released on his own recognizance after his initial appearance.
