Shane Richard Hunter, 44, Afton, was charged Tuesday with domestic abuse assault and interference with official acts at his residence.

According to a Union County Sheriff’s report, Hunter ripped a female victim’s top and threw her name tag that was attached to it while verbally assaulting her and attempting to throw her off the steps of their residence. He then threw the victim’s keys in the yard. Hunter shoved her and was under the influence of alcohol, which would later be determined as a BAC of .149. When a deputy arrived, Hunter resisted arrest by closing the outside door of his residence and interior doors as well.

Hunter was being held in the Union County Jail without bond until his appearance.
