No citations were issued after an accident 2:03 p.m. Sept. 9 on Lark Avenue.

According to a Creston Police report, Dustin Jaymie Allison, 40, was driving a 2007 Mack truck owned by Waste Management of Iowa Inc. onto a weigh station when his truck struck a power line, pulling it from a splice in a building owned by Prairie Solid Waste.

Estimated damage to the power line and building are unknown. No damage was reported to Waste Management’s truck.

Randall Wayne Needham, 59, of Afton was cited with following too close and operating without registration or plates after an accident 10:11 a.m. Sept. 9 at the intersection of Willow Avenue and 210th Street.

According to a Creston Police report, Needham was hauling a skid loader in a 2011 Dodge north on Willow Avenue when he entered a construction zone. As Needham crested the hilltop, his vehicle struck the rear of a 2021 Kubota skid loader, equipped with a street sweeper, that was in use by Stacy Loy. Needham stated visibility was low due to the amount of dust from the construction site. Loy was transported by ambulance to Greater Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

Estimated damage is $1,501 to each of Needham’s and Loy’s vehicles.
