Michael Clyde Miller, 58, 600 N. Chestnut St., was charged 5:30 p.m. Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or manufacture methamphetamine over five grams and assault with weapon — serious injury at 809 W. Adams St.
According to a Creston Police report, Miller had marijuana, 5.96 grams of methamphetamine with packaging materials and digital scales. Miller struck a male victim in the side of the head, causing a concussion. The victim had swelling and bruising on the side of his head and a small laceration on his scalp, requiring medical attention.
Miller was being held in the Union County Jail without bond until an appearance before the judge.
