Mindy Jo Knapp, 46, 2419 1st Ave., in Perry was charged 2:08 p.m. May 18 with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1216 S. Division St. in Stuart.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, a search warrant was conducted on room 39 of the Economy Inn motel where two clear plastic bags of methamphetamine, two containers of marijuana, two torches and a glass pipe were found.
Knapp was cited and released on her promise to appear.

Veronica Viola Lee Elwood, 29, 520 SW 2nd St., in Greenfield, was charged 8:45 a.m. May 19 with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 212 SW Kent St. in Greenfield.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Elwood used a blunt object to puncture the passenger side rear of a vehicle and did the same to another.
Elwood was being held in the Adair County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Donna Marie Ott, 40, 401 Main St., in Yale, was charged 3:20 p.m. May 20 with domestic abuse assault at 207 NW 2nd St. in Greenfield.
According to an Adair County Sheriff, Ott placed her hands around the throat of the victim in an attempt to suffocate.
Ott was released on own recognizance.

Amanda Jo Herring, 27, 500 Spruce St., in Atlantic was charged 12:13 a.m. Saturday with interference with an official act at 8th Cedar St .in Stuart.
According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, deputies were dispatched to a blue jeep suspected of being driven intoxicated. A search was conducted and the vehicle had two occupants with the smell of an alcoholic beverage. The male occupant was released after a field sobriety test and cited for not having insurance. After learning the vehicle would be impounded, Herring took the wheel and attempted to roll the window up.
Herring was cited and released on her promise to appear.

Jordan Benjamin Andrus, 20, 36th street, in West Des Moines, was charged 8:11 a.m. May 18 on a Clive Police Department warrant in the 2400 block of Vinton Avenue.
Andrus was turned over to the Clive Police Department’s custody.
