Sheri Jo Watters, 41, 210 N. Oak St., was charged 10:51 p.m. Wednesday on an outstanding warrant for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of N. Oak St.

According to a Creston Police report, officers were reported to the scene of a woman, later identified as Watters, shouting at people while possibly high on drugs. While in custody, Watters admitted to having a methamphetamine pipe, needles and baggies with residue in her purse.

Watters was held in the Adams County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Corbin Willis Dowdell, 24, 112 Manor Dr., and Makenna Christine Wierick, 21, 303 N. Oak St., were charged 1:56 a.m. Thursday with possession of a controlled substance at the intersection of North Russell and South Peterson streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Dowdell was driving with beams on high, no plate lamp and expired registration. Dowdell confessed to having a firearm in the vehicle, which was seized, and Wierick admitted to having marijuana in her purse that Dowdell confirmed belonged to him.

Dowdell was being held in the Union County Jail on bond amount unknown at the time of publication.
