Two male juveniles,16 and 17, were charged Monday with four counts of trafficking stolen weapons, two counts of third-degree burglary and fifth-degree theft at an undisclosed location.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, deputies were contacted about a vehicle that was broken into and robbed of two handguns. A handgun and rifle were taken from another vehicle in a different location.

The 16-year-old was released to a parent and the 17-year-old was being held in the Eldora Juvenile Detention Center.

Damion Micheal Cappello, 22, 1129 Annie Dr., in Winterset and Callysta Lage-Guttormson, 19, of West Des Moines, were both charged 10:32 p.m. Sunday with possession of a controlled substance, Cappello was additionally charged with operating while intoxicated, driving while barred and Lage-Guttormson was additionally charged with allowing an unauthorized driver to drive at the intersection of Ginko Avenue and U.S. Highway 34.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s report, Cappello was going nine miles over the speed limit, and when stopped the odor of marijuana was apparent. Marijuana was found in the vehicle and Cappello, who admitted to smoking marijuana, was unable to maintain balance, follow directions and showed involuntary eye movement while taking a field sobriety test. Cappello refused to consent to a urine sample.

Cappello and Lage-Guttormson were being held in the Adams County Jail, Cappello was being held on $1,000 bond.
