Michael John Palmer, 45, 512 S. Main St., Independence, Missouri, was charged on a Union County warrant 4:22 p.m. Wednesday with fifth degree theft at 302 N. Pine St.

According to a Creston Police report, Palmer shoplifted $94.59 worth of items September 29 from Walmart.

Palmer was held in the Union County Jail on $300 bond.

April Marie Roberts, 34, 112 Manor Dr. was charged 9:14 p.m. Wednesday with fifth degree criminal mischief at 703 W. Taylor St.

According to a Creston Police report, Roberts was captured on video surveillance destroying $24.77 worth of makeup, hair spray and pens.

Roberts was cited and released on her promise to appear before a magistrate.
