Accident

Kailee Jo Rochford, 17, of Creston, was cited for driving while suspended after an accident 7:13 p.m. April 23 at the intersection of North Elm and West Howard streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Zamiel Damon Konkler, of Creston, driving a 2010 Chevy, was traveling southbound on Elm street. while Rochford, driving a 2009 Toyota, was traveling westbound on Howard street. Rochford struck Konkler. Konkler claimed Rochford had ran the stop sign while Rochford claimed Konkler was speeding, but admitted to using her cell phone at the stop sign.

Estimated damages were $500 to Konkler’s vehicle and $3,000 to Rochford’s vehicle.
