Christopher Roland Bird, 31, 303 N. Oak St., was charged with domestic abuse assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief 10:58 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Division Street.
According to a Creston Police report, Bird assaulted a female victim by pushing the door against her, forcing his way into her residence. During the incident, Bird head-butted the door and broke a window.
Bird was being held in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
