Michael Eugene Matherly, 34, 1104 Wallace St., Casey, was charged with violation of a protection order 1:50 p.m. Wednesday at 302 N. Pine St.

According to a Creston Police report, Matherly exchanged text messages with a protected party.

Matherly was released from the Union County Jail on his promise to appear.

Robin Lynn Matherly, 39, 314 N. Spruce St., was charged with violation of a protection order 3:40 p.m. Wednesday at 302 N. Pine St.

According to a Creston Police report, Matherly exchanged text messages with a protected party.

Matherly was released from the Adams County Jail on her promise to appear.

Keegan Wayne Williams, 24, no known address, was charged on an outside agency warrant 8:48 a.m. Thursday.

Williams was transported to the Adams County Jail.

Chastity Cari McFarland, 41, 1204 N. Pine St. Apt. B, was charged with fifth-degree theft 4:24 p.m. Thursday at 806 Laurel St.

According to a Creston Police report, a witness observed McFarland not paying for items at Walmart. McFarland made statements consistent with the witness’ report.

Estimated value was $66.73. McFarland was cited and released on her promise to appear.

Justin Paul Hodge, 41, 203 E. Mills St., was charged with driving while suspended and first-offense possession of a controlled substance 8:48 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Prairie and North Walnut streets.

According to a Creston Police report, officers initiated a traffic stop on Hodge, who was driving a four wheeler, and found he had three withdrawals on his license. Hodge admitted to having a loaded 22 pistol in his front pocket, that he stated he had a permit to carry. During a subsequent search, officers found a pipe with a crystallized substance inside. The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Hodge was released from the Union County Jail on $1,300 bond.

Michael W. Post, 35, 101 Kansas Ave., Lorimor, was charged with possession of a controlled sSubstance with intent to deliver methamphetamine (more than 5 grams), possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver marijuana (less than 50 kilos), failure to affix drug tax stamp, carrying weapons, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) – first-offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia 1:58 p.m. today at South Walnut and E. Fremont streets in Creston.

No other information is available at this time.

Post was being held in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
