Mitchell Tyler Killion, 39, of Orient, was charged with driving while license is revoked 6:50 p.m. Feb. 18 at the intersection of 285th Street and Fontanelle Road.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, deputies stopped a vehicle with a headlight out. The driver, identified as Killion, admitted his license was currently revoked.

Killion was cited and released.

Merle Dean Burris, 67, of Stuart was charged with first-offense operating while under the influence 2:55 a.m. Feb. 20 on the 200 block of South Division in Stuart.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Burris was driving with no headlights and appeared to be intoxicated, with an odor of an alcohol beverage coming from his breath, slurred speech and blood shot watery eyes. He failed three field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking alcohol. A preliminary breath alcohol test registered over .08 and a datamaster test revealed his blood alcohol was .091.

Burris was cited and released.
