Garey Glade, 31, of Greenfield was charged with first-offense operating while under the influence 3:55 a.m. Feb. 7 at Nevada Avenue and 310th Street in Orient.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s report, Glade’s vehicle was observed traveling at 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle also appeared to not stop for the stop sign where Highway 25 curves and is joined by 310th Street. As the law enforcement officer turned around to initiate a stop stopped well beyond the stop sign. Glade’s license plate was covered with snow. As officers approached the vehicle, they observed what appeared to be Glade throwing something toward or at the front passenger seat area. During the stop, two alcoholic beverage containers were seen on the passenger side floor board. While issuing a citation for speeding and a warning for not carrying insurance, the officers observed Glade to have slurred speech, bloodshot and watery eyes, and the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from the defendant.

A standard field sobriety was administered with Glade’s consent. During the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test, clues of impairment were observed in the defendant’s eyes. Glade consented to a preliminary breath test, which resulted in a BAC over the .08 legal limit. The result on the Data Master machine was a .158.

Glade was released on his promise to appear.

Tyler White, 25, of Fontanelle was charged Feb. 7 on a Union County warrant at Dollar General in Greenfield.

White was later released on a $1,000 cash only bond.

Travis Wambold, 43, of Fontanelle was charged with driving while barred 2:59 a.m. Feb. 8 south of Fontanelle.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an obstructed rear license plate and an amber license plate light, which is in violation of Iowa Code 321.388. The driver was later identified as Wambold, who was known to have a barred license status. A check of the defendant’s license status confirmed this. Registration on the vehicle was also expired. There was no proof of insurance.

Wambold was cited and released.

Michael Croft, 60, of Iowa City was being held temporarily by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office on no bond on a Johnson County warrant.

Shane Blackford, 29, of Chariton was charged on an arrest warrant 3:38 p.m. Feb. 11.

Dylan Albaugh-Cornelison, 23, of Adair was charged with driving while license is denied or revoked at 9:50 p.m. Feb. 12. at Exit 86 on Interstate 80.

David Clayton, 41, of Greenfield was charged with harassment in the first degree, willful injury with bodily injury and going armed with intent 1:15 p.m. Feb. 13 in Greenfield.

According to an Adair County Sheriff’s Report, Greenfield Police arrived at a residence on NW 2nd Street. Upon arrival, deputies had the defendant in handcuffs. Officers talked with a victim whose son was allegedly threatened by Clayton. Clayton allegedly cut the victim with a knife causing a laceration that required 3 to 4 stitches because the victim had accused Clayton of stealing a firearm. The altercation started after the firearm was found

Clayton was released on $10,000 cash or surety bond.
