Andrew Wayne Long, 31, 203 N. Lincoln St., was charged with first-offense operating while under the influence 3:51 a.m. today at the intersection of North Pine and West Adams streets.

According to a Creston Police report, Long was driving recklessly through the piles of snow on the city street when his vehicle became stuck. When officers came to assist, they noted an odor of alcohol on his breath and signs of impairment during the field sobriety testing. A preliminary breath alcohol test was above .08. Long admitted to drinking alcohol. A datamaster test later showed Long had a blood alcohol level of .099.

Long was being held in the Union County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
