Creston Food Shelf

We adults at the Creston Food Shelf would like to thank all the youth from Appalachia Service Project and from Future Farmers of America for helping pack and distribute the Christmas baskets on Saturday, Dec. 10.

We handed out 211 baskets to those who participated in the drive-thru. It is our hope that this program will make for a better Christmas for all those families.

On the other hand, we heard multiple complaints from the recipients as well as the volunteers about the calendar and action of our mayor. We would like to think that better judgement would or could have been used.

The Creston Food Shelf did not get any money from that fundraiser and futhermore we do not want any of that kind of funding.
