A recent contributor stated that there were references to God in the U.S. Constitution. That is incorrect. There are none. The letter also stated that there were references to God in the Declaration of Independence. There is one. It is in the sentence explaining that the colonists’ right to independence is in accordance with “the laws of nature and nature’s God.”
