LETTER: Sensible laws to stop

Maybe someone can help me out here. Another school shooting Tuesday and the same answers by the same legislators opposed to law that would help limit possession of the weapons of mass destruction used in killing innocent students.

These same people are voting for no exception abortion but are against gun laws that would help insure the children and grandchildren you have now will come home from class alive. All this says to me is “I love my guns more than the value of and innocent child’s life.”

The Democrats are not trying to take your guns but just want sensible laws to stop this. The constant fear and hate speech of social media and Fox News is some of the most lethal fueling of this problem. These shooters most often use social media to announce themselves. Also, these shootings are not necessarily racially motivated. Most of the Sandy Hook and Parkland kids were white, I believe. The Las Vegas concert shootings were very random. The Creston schools have intercepted threats. No school is safe. So, go ahead and vote these same mostly Trump Republicans back in for the mid-terms.

Trump was quoted as advocating a civil war just last weekend. Keep in mind though that ift he Republicans take control of the House and the Senate this is your last vote that will matter anyway. That control plus the way the courts are stacked they won’t need the people that voted for them anymore. Remember, Trump hass hown time and time again he holds no loyalty to anyone. They’ll call the elections from here on out in their favor, so they never lose again. So, go ahead. They’re just using you for your vote.
