Yesterday afternoon my wife and I were driving through Creston from Lone Tree to our home in Papillion. We stopped in Creston so my wife could drive. After we started up again, we noticed the car was really making a funny noise and the TPMS light was on. We pulled over by CT Nails to see what was wrong and discovered we had a very flat tire.
We were trying to figure out the best solution when this nice, young man in his pickup truck stopped to see if we needed help. He gave us some suggestions for folks to call and we said that should be fine. While trying to contact someone, the FedEx lady who had delivered a package to CT Nails stopped and gave us some other ideas on who to call. My wife then went to CT Nails to see if she could use their restroom and ended up coming back with two bottles of cold water – greatly appreciated.
In the meantime, I had contacted Heartland Tire and Auto and they said they would have the tire repair man come out in about 10 minutes. Great. While this was going on, the man driving a big Waste Management truck stopped to see if he could help.
Once the young man from Heartland got there, he aired up the tire right quick so we could get to the shop. We then followed him to the shop and they were able to work on the tire right away, found the leak and fixed it and we were on our way. Lonnie and the young man that fixed our tire were so very helpful.
As you can imagine, we were very concerned and in an unfamiliar town. But everyone we met in Creston was so friendly and helpful it really helped to remove the stress we were feeling. If you can, please thank all of them for Judy and me. They went above and beyond to help us. Thanks!
