I have spent all but four years of my life engaged in public education that includes three states and seven districts of various sizes. My father influenced my career path as an educator as I remember him studying his board packet and preparing for school board meetings. As a public educator, I believe public education is a cornerstone of our democracy and our community — a shared promise to support, educate and empower every child. At our schools that promise drives everything we do.
Every day, our teachers, support staff and administrators work with dedication and compassion to meet the needs of all students. They teach, listen, guide, and care deeply — often going above and beyond — because they believe in every child’s potential.
We know that keeping the Public Education Promise requires more than the work of our schools alone. It takes partnership — with parents, families and the community. When we work together, we strengthen the foundation of learning and belonging for all children.
As a district, we remain focused on:
● Teaching and Learning: Ensuring every student has access to high-quality instruction.
● Safety and Well-being: Providing safe, supportive environments that promote respect, wellness and personal growth.
● Family and Community Engagement: Building strong, trusting relationships to support student success.
Public education welcomes all children. We teach all children. We believe in all children. That is the Public Education Promise, and it is only possible when schools, families and communities work together.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff and schools. Together, we will continue to honor the promise of public education and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.
