Greatest pandemic since the great plague of London

A huge worldwide pandemic strikes. Over 43 million dead in 2021. This pandemic is responsible for over 40% of all deaths worldwide, from all causes. No relief in sight. There is nothing the victims can do. The CDC refuses to act. Our Federal Government refuses to act. The United Nations refuses to act. The World Health Organization (WHO) refuses to act.

In the United States the numbers are equally staggering. According to the admittedly incomplete data collected by the CDC, in 2019, over 630,000 deaths were reported in the United States from this pandemic. The Guttmacher Institute estimates are 30% higher. Guttmacher estimates over 862,000 deaths from this pandemic occurred in the United States in the year 2017 alone. There is no relief in sight.

Information has been obtained through unofficial channels that the United States Supreme Court is poised to provide some limited relief. We should know sometime this month about this rumored relief.

Strangely, it is rumored that any such relief from this pandemic will cause widespread demonstrations, perhaps even riots.

Of course, by now you have figured out the “pandemic” I am talking about is “abortion.” The U.S. Supreme Court may release an opinion changing the legal status of abortion in the United States of America. If this is true, the authority to write laws governing abortion will be returned to the elected legislature of each of the 50 United States, as provided for in the Constitution. The procedure of abortion will not automatically be removed or forbidden.

Most people are not aware of the huge numbers of children whose lives are ended in the womb.

Just think of the numbers!

Abortion was declared to be legal by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1973. Since that date there have been in excess of 62,000,000 abortions in the United States. Thousands of these aborted children would otherwise be grandparents by now. The current total population of the United States is estimated as 334,700,000. If we add to that number the aborted children, and their children and grandchildren we would have a current population of over 400,000,000 people living in the United States. Just imagine, how many of those missing 70,000,000 plus people would have made life-saving medical discoveries. How many world enhancing inventions have we missed? How many teachers, historians, theologians were never born?

We know that as many as 60% of the abortions performed in the United States are performed in clinics run by Planned Parenthood. I think the organization is misnamed. It should be called something like planned non-parenthood. Their main goal seems to be to prevent parenthood. It is a well-known fact that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a racist.

Abortion continues to be a controversial subject. It has been reported that when asked to comment on the rumored Supreme Court opinion, President Joe Biden said “I’m not prepared to leave abortion to the whims of the public at the moment.”

Meanwhile, the government has installed extra security around the Supreme Court building. Arrests have been made of intruders and prowlers at the homes of Supreme Court justices. It was just over two years ago when, then Senate minority leader, (now Senate Majority Leader) Chuck Schumer made the following statement to a mob of pro-abortion demonstrators on the steps of the Supreme Court: “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. …You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” This is a very thinly veiled threat. It is against federal law to threaten Supreme Court justices. I fear the whirlwind may be closer and more dangerous than we think.

Ronald Reagan once said: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It has to be fought for and defended by each generation.” I pray that the generation we aborted was not the one that was going to defend our freedom.

The price of gasoline in Creston was $1.86 a gallon on Jan. 20, 2021. It now sells for $4.67 a gallon. Have you checked the price of bacon, or milk? Are you able to find baby formula for your child or grandchild?
