Keep voting Democrat

This heading is the beginning of a 1987 quote from Ronald Reagan. The complete quotation is: “Keep voting Democrat… One day they will restrict your freedoms, restrict your history and restrict your safety, all in the name of professional victims who don’t understand the consequences of their ignorance.”

Our federal government is currently engaged in restricting our freedoms when they encourage social-media platforms to censor “fake news.” It would be unconstitutional for the government to directly censor “fake news.”

Many of our schools are restricting our history by promoting false narratives of our nation’s history, such as the 1619 project.

Many of our local governments have restricted our safety by vilifying and defunding our police forces.

I often use an App on my cellphone called, “Find my phone.” This app allows me to find the current location of all the phones of my family members whose phones and other electronic devices are registered in the same “family” group. This app is useful, especially when family members are traveling in the winter. It is a small group, just myself, my wife, our daughter and her two adult sons. All of us have the option to turn off this feature.

Did you know that the cellphone carriers can and do capture this data constantly, in real time, about all of us? Apparently the recently released movie, “2000 Mules,” was made possible because a private citizen purchased location data for thousands of cell phones. He was able to purchase aggregate data for cellphone movement, centered around ballot drop boxes, for the 2020 election. The use of this purchased data led to some interesting conclusions about the 2020 election.

Apparently, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is able to obtain similar data related to the movement of millions of cellphones. According to news reports, the CDC was interested in data to monitor traffic at schools, churches and other destinations of interest. This information could be of use to also establish visits to restaurants, bars, and other locations during periods of public shut downs or disturbance.

The gathering of this data related to movement and location of large numbers of people reminds me of George Orwell’s book, “1984″. In Orwell’s book, Big Brother kept track of the location of people by means of the two-way television sets required to be in every home and turned on at all times. This allowed the government to “listen in” on anyone, at any time. No warrant required. No court orders. No oversight. No problem. Of course, Big Brother was “benign” and was only looking out for the welfare of the citizens. Nothing to see here.

It seems strange to me that the CDC is still pushing us for universal vaccination against COVID. Where are we now? I think the recommendation is for at least two or three shots, with one or more boosters following each shot. Has anyone had to pay for any of this? Have you noticed that no information seems to be released about the cost to the federal government for any of this medication or the administration of this medication? Yet, people with all this medication in their systems still get COVID. We do not seem to be getting our money’s worth from whatever the cost is to the taxpayers.

Just before the election in 2020, candidate Joe Biden was quoted as saying, “You can’t legislate by executive order, unless you are a dictator.” Within 10 days of his being sworn in, President Biden had signed 42 executive orders. Other recent presidents also signed executive orders in the first 10 days; Trump, 6: Obama, 5: Bush, 2: Clinton, 2. By the way, President Trump rightly withdrew from the Paris Climate accords, as it is a “treaty” which our U.S. Senate never approved. It takes a two-thirds majority of the Senate to approve a treaty. President Biden is illegally behaving as though our Senate has approved the Paris Climate accords. Special ambassador John Kerry still flies all over the world in his private jet airplane to attend “climate change” meetings.

The price of gas in Creston was $1.86 a gallon on Jan. 20, 2021. Gas is up about 30 cents a gallon since we have been tapping our Strategic Reserve, and up $2.29 a gallon since Jan. 20, 2021. Gasoline now sells for $4.15 a gallon in Creston.
