Linda Busch, 73, of Creston, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Greater Regional Health in Creston.

Linda Busch, 73, of Creston, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Greater Regional Health in Creston. Celebration of Life Services were 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 6, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Services were livestreamed at a link under her obituary. Pastor Kasey Vogel officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery north of Creston. Open visitation was held 3-6 p.m., with family receiving friends 4-6 p.m., Sunday, April 5, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston.

Linda Elaine Busch, daughter of Delmer Floyd Brown and Phyllis Geneva (Lauer) Brown, was born May 14, 1952. She attended Orient-Macksburg schools and graduated with the class of 1970. She later went on to attend Northwest Missouri State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in education.

On Aug. 15, 1971, Linda was united in marriage to Craig Douglas Busch at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg. From this union came three sons: Todd, Scott and Curtis. In 1974, she began her career with Orient-Macksburg schools as a special education teacher in the high school. She later taught at Winterset in the special education department until her retirement in 2016.

Surviving Linda is her husband Craig Busch of Creston; her sons: Todd (Lynette) Busch of Autryville, North Carolina, Scott (Kelly) Busch of Creston and Curtis (Kamy) Busch of Grimes; seven grandchildren: Donald (Amanda) Fisher, Dakota (Costa) Ortiz, Paige (Devin) Russo, Jenna Busch (Gerardo Caldera Hernandez), Tyler Busch (Hallie Gilchrist), Kaleb Herbst-Larkin and Addison Busch and six great-grandchildren: Adelyn Fisher, Lathan Fisher, Alayna Ortiz, Broly Ortiz, Endeavor Ortiz and Kallen Russo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Alice Blair Brown; uncle Darrell Brown and grandparents: Floyd and Ruby Brown and Irvin and Winnie Lauer.
