Marilyn Shepler, 92, of Creston, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at her home in Creston. No public services will be held. Powers Funeral Home in Creston is assisting with arrangements.

Marilyn (Strosnider) Shepler was born March 30, 1933, to Raymond Francis Strosnider and Lina Elizabeth (Lachenmaier) Strosnider in Creston. She graduated from Creston Community High School in 1951 and attended Southwestern Community College for two years. She lived most of her life in the Creston area and was a secretary for the Department of Transportation for over 30 years, where she retired from.

Marilyn was married to Paul Hugh Shepler March 13, 1955, at the First Christian Church in Creston. They were blessed with three daughters. The couple returned to Creston in 1956. Marilyn and Paul were members of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Creston.

Marilyn is survived by three daughters: Vicki Harris of Creston, Kathy Jo Lacina of Afton and Kristie (Robert) Campbell of McCall, Idaho; six grandchildren, Nichole (Heath) Hanson of Creston, Chance (Farah) Lacina of Malaysia, Jordan Campbell of McCall, Kaylee (Ryan) Heatherington of Creston, Sarah (Josh) Winebrenner of McCall and Robert Paul Campbell of McCall and seven great-children.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul in 2019 and her sons-in-law, Jim Harris in 2022 and Mark Lacina in 2025.
