Wendell “Wimp” Hill, 92, of Lenox, passed away Oct. 30, 2025, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Cummings Family Funeral Home in Lenox. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Interment was held at West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox.

Wimp was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Lenox, the son of Harold “Pat” Hill and Neva (Herbst) Hill. He attended country schools and graduated from Lenox High School in 1952.
He married Bettye Watts and together they welcomed two children, Cheri and Larry.
In 1967, Wimp married Mickey Musselman and they were blessed with one son, Michael, who passed away in infancy.
Wimp had a lifelong love of horses and rodeoing. He worked in many trades over the years – selling restaurant equipment, collecting and selling Ford tractors, buggies, saddles and tack. He also drove trucks for several companies and ran a star mail route for the U.S. Postal Service out of Creston. During that time he owned the Cromwell Bar and later the Prescott Tap.
Wimp was a member of the Eagles Club in Creston.
Wimp is survived by Mickey, the love of his life; his daughter Cheri (Van) Atherton; son Larry (Janet) Hill; stepson Greg Campbell; six grandchildren: Carrie Thede, Troy Atherton, Todd Atherton, Trisha Darby, Ashley Mowery and Molly Hill; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his sister Marlene Hill and many nieces and nephews.
Wimp is preceded in death by his parents; his infant son Michael and brothers, Edwin and Gary.
