Marlin Neisemier, 78, of Creston, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Greater Regional Health in Creston.

Marlin Neisemier, 78, of Creston, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Greater Regional Health in Creston. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Jodi Rushing will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at a link found under events at www.powersfh.com. Open visitation will be 2-7 p.m., with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m., Friday.

Marlin Eugene Neisemier, son of Fred Grant Neisemier and Gertrude Jean (Dodd) Neisemier, was born Aug. 12, 1947, in Osceola. His early education was in Winterset, graduating from Winterset High School, going on to Southwestern Community College in Creston and finishing at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. After graduating from high school, he also worked through the summers on the Neisemier family farm.

On June 18, 1967, Marlin married Sherry Davis in Creston. They made their home in Creston, where Marlin worked for Evans Brothers Clothing while finishing college. He also worked for a time with Mid-State Engineering and sold Prudential Insurance.

Marlin started in banking in 1976 with First Federal Savings & Loan of Creston/Corning. There he served the banking needs of the communities for 36 years, retiring in 2012, while serving as vice president.

Marlin was a people person, loved to work in his yard and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Survivors include his two daughters, Anne (Randy) Jackson of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and Jill Neisemier of Creston; grandchildren, Abbie Jackson of Davenport and Tommy Jackson of Menomonee Falls; sister Connie Welch of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law, Jack Davis and Bob (Marilyn) Carl of Sun City, Arizona, and numerous other extended family members.

Marlin was preceded in death by wife Sherry; his parents, Fred and Gertrude Neisemier; mother-in-law Ella Davis; father-in-law Ray Davis; sisters-in-law, Janet (Bill) Larkins and Cheri Davis; brother-in-law Ronnie Welch and niece Amy Webb.
