Connie Ann Lundy was born Jan. 6, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Frances (Dorsey) Dory. She passed away Oct. 2, 2025, at her home, after a two-year-long hard-fought battle with cancer at age 70.
Connie was welcomed home by a sister and two brothers. She lived most of her life in Adair County. She went to Greenfield School, graduating with the class of 1973.
She met her future husband at a football game in October 1972. Phillip and Connie were married Feb. 2, 1974. To this union one son, Jared, was born.
Connie worked at the Greenfield Manor until Jared was born, then later went to work at Creston Nursing and Rehab, now known as Creston Specialty Care, until she retired in April 2019, after 28 years of service.
In Connie’s spare time she enjoyed working in the garden and taking care of her flowerbeds. When her two grandchildren came along, they were the biggest part of her life. She attended all of their activities including dance, softball, band, track, soccer, baseball and football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother Robert Jr.; sister Mary and in-laws, Virgil and Lucille Lundy.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Phillip Lundy; son Jared Lundy and wife Gayla of Orient; granddaughter Haileigh; grandson Paden; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends, plus an extended family of four girls and their families.
Connie will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
