Lori Jayne (Cook) McIntosh was born Nov. 28, 1961, to Jim Walter Cook and Donella Louise (Marsh) Cook in Red Oak. She lived in Iowa for the entirety of her life and graduated from Creston High School in 1980. Lori received her Associate of Science degree in business administration/accounting from Southwestern Community College in 1992. She worked for Southwestern Community College for over 10 years and then went on to manage Kum & Go on Highway 25 for seven years before retiring due to disability.

Lori was united in marriage to Ricky Lee McIntosh on May 12, 1984, at the Methodist Church in Creston. From this union came two daughters, Brooke Lyn in 1989 and Shelbi Lee in 1995.

Lori enjoyed many hobbies throughout her lifetime. In her younger years, she enjoyed water skiing, roller skating, photography and creating floral arrangements for family and friends. Lori also enjoyed spending time with her family. Her favorite activities were camping and watching races at Adams County Speedway. Lori had a whistle that could rival the race cars themselves and often used it while cheering for her son-in-law, John Berg, over the last nine seasons. In later years, Lori’s greatest passion was spending time adoring her grandchildren.
