Angela Avila, 55, of Slidell, Louisiana, formerly of Afton, died June 8, 2025, in Slidell, after suffering from cancer. There will be a prayer rosary prior to the service at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, followed by an 11 a.m. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery near Afton, followed by a light lunch in the church basement.
