Della Raddatz, 80, of Creston, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Care Initiatives in Creston. No public services will be held. A private family burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Englewood, Colorado.

Della Jean Raddatz, daughter of Charles Dyal Hall and Dorothy Helen (Hardin) was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Beaver City, Nebraska. Della attended school in Englewood, Colorado.
On April 2, 1964, Della was united in marriage to John Newton Raddatz in Englewood. The two had first settled in Englewood before moving to St. Louis, Della had managed a McDonald’s, she later moved to Littleton, Colorado, where she was a supervisor at K-Mart. It was while working at K-Mart that she met one of her favorite actors, Red Skelton, he bought some cigars from her and took a picture with her. After she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and worked as a manager at Taco Bell. In 1995, Della moved back to Iowa, following her retirement.
Della’s favorite past times were spent with family or crocheting, reading, doing puzzles and playing games, talking politics and doing family genealogy. To her children and grandchildren, she was known to break out in song randomly. She loved church hymns, gospel and bluegrass music. She was a member of St. Johns United Church in Creston.
Della is survived by her children, John “Doug” (Melissa) Raddatz of Creston and Kelly (Tim) Roach of Creston; two brothers, Kent (Nadine) Hall of Littleton, Colorado, and Dallas (Nancy) Hall of Englewood; a sister Diana White of Sacramento, California; six grandchildren: John (Megan) and Cody (Britany) Raddatz, Marajane Cook (Cameron Dainon), Maggie (Alex) Montoya, Matthew Raddatz (Kera Thompson) and Alex Roach (Maddie Oshel) and seven great-grandchildren: Emory, Tamsin, Silas, Daisy, Vada, Bo and Jax.
Della was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Raddatz and daughter Vicki (Kevin) Cook.
