Charles E. Trisler

Charles Eugene Trisler, 80, of Afton, was born July 29, 1944, to Clarence and Zelma Trisler in Union County. He graduated from East Union High School in 1962. Charlie was in the Army.

Charlie worked for Wellman Dynamics for 36 years.

Charlie passed away July 7, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Vera Elizabeth Shiftlett, Fern Pauline Burnham and Ruth Ann Busick and brother Robert Franklin Trisler.

Charlie is survived by son Chris and wife Susan; daughter Robin Hoskins; grandchildren: Joey, Cassie and Jon Trisler, Natasha VanHeeswyk and Jacob VanHeeswyk; three great-grandkids; “adopted son” Brad (Wendy) Stonehocker; brother Donald Lee Trisler; sister Doris Luella Fields; many other relatives and friends.

Charlie has been cremated and no services are scheduled. Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr assisted the family.
