Alex Bruce Carrigan was born June 27, 2003, to Jeff Carrigan and Cherish Miller in Maryville, Missouri. Alex was lovingly raised by his mother and stepfather Larry Miller. He moved to Afton in 2013 when he was 10 years old. Alex attended East Union High School where he graduated from in 2021.
Alex met the love of his life, Ali, when he was 14. They attended East Union High School together. Through high school Alex was a four-sport athlete and loved all things sports and motors, but more than anything, he loved Ali.
After graduation Alex and Ali moved to Arispe. Alex began working for Elder Corporation the summer he turned 18. Alex was always a hard worker and over the years he became a very skilled pipelayer and was a huge asset to their crew and company.
Alex and Ali were united in marriage Oct. 21, 2023. They resided in Lorimor with their three dogs, cat Ajax and other critters Ali would bring home. He could never tell her no. Ali and Alex enjoyed time with friends and family on the golf course, riding razors (Alex’s pride and joy) on trails or gravel traveling and fishing.
You could often find Alex supporting his siblings at ball games, rodeos or anything else they were involved in, sometimes even a nice game of basketball in the shop. In his younger days, while still living at home, Alex enjoyed building LEGOs, riding the four-wheeler and playing with his brother Sam. Alex loved anything outdoors and developed a passion for decking out his side-by-sides, trucks and anything with a motor. From lights to wheels, he loved to install accessories and had a natural gift for wiring.
Alex will forever be remembered for his infectious goofy smile, his laugh that would turn a room and his heart that he poured into everything and everyone around him, especially Ali. Alex loved Ali with everything he had and was so excited to become a dad later this year. Alex will always be remembered as an amazing husband, son, brother and friend.
Alex is survived by his wife Ali Carrigan of Lorimor; his mom Cherish (Larry) Miller of Afton; brother Samuel Miller; his dad Jeff (Julie) Carrigan of Macedonia; in-laws: Andy (Amber) Neisemier of Thayer and Josh (Kristin) Jorgenson of Lorimor; his siblings-in-law: Abbie, Ace and Axel Neisemier and Savanah and Steven Jorgensen; many aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends that were family.
Alex was preceded in death by his aunt Donna Allen; grandpa Danny Neisemier and grandma Marlene Ferkin.
