Gene Dowdell, 90, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Creston, died April 19, 2025. No services will be held.

Gene was born Aug. 3, 1934, in Creston. He graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1953. Gene served in the United States Air Force for 25 years and was stationed in Germany, France, Italy and Turkey.

Gene married his wife, Huguette, in France. To this union, two daughters were born, Christine and Stephanie.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sherry Taylor in 2019 and brother-in-law Gordon Taylor.

Gene is survived by his wife Huguette of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Christine and Stephanie, both of Colorado Springs and brother Carl Dowdell of Creston.
