Jasper E. Ambrose

Memorial Celebration of Life Services for Jasper Ambrose, 92, of Lenox, who passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Vintage Park in Lenox, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Ritchie Funeral Home in Lenox. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be held at West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox.

Jasper Eugene Ambrose was born Aug. 9, 1931, to Lizzie (Froescher) Ambrose and William Bertin Ambrose in Adams County. He was a lifelong resident of Adams and Taylor counties. He retired from farming in 1994 and moved to Lenox. There he had jobs cleaning the American Legion building and the Alegent Health Clinic in Lenox for the next 22 years. In addition, he had other part-time jobs and continued to have a big garden at his home in town.

Jasper was always ready to help others when they needed it. Jasper graduated from Corning High School in 1950 and was a member of the Lenox Methodist Church since 1950.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law, five sisters-in-law and one niece.

Surviving him is a sister-in-law, four nephews, five nieces, several great-nephews and -nieces, bonus nieces and nephews and many dear friends, all who held a special place in his heart.

We will forever hold the precious memory of Jasper in our hearts. May he be at peace in God’s loving care
