Rosalie Hampton, 85, of Creston, died Saturday, March 30, 2024, in Creston.

Rosalie Hampton, 85, of Creston, entered the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in Creston. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. The services will be live streamed. A private family burial will be at Murray Cemetery in Murray. Pastor Neal McRae will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Creston.

Rosalie June Hampton, was born Feb. 15, 1939, the daughter of Bernerd Easter Allen and Rose Valentine (Boatwright) Allen in Des Moines. Rosalie attended Des Moines Technical High School. Rosalie married Ronald Lee Hampton on Sept. 20, 1956, in Des Moines. They moved to Tucson, Arizona, where they raised their four children.

Rosalie loved children and shared the joy of the Lord with them every chance she got. God’s love radiated from her throughout her life. Rosalie worked primarily as a homemaker until the early 70s when she and Ron partnered as a truck driving team. They retired in 2001. They moved to Murray in 1978 and to Creston in 2003. Rosalie treasured time with her family and friends. She loved being an active member of the Crest Baptist Church in Creston.

Rosalie is survived by two daughters, Terri Hampton of Cape Coral, Florida, and Ronda (Roger) Aschan of Murray; one son, Scott (Peggy) Hampton of Creston; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren - all of whom adored her. She is also survived by her sisters, Sue Olglesbee of Murray and Marlys Allen of Urbandale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; daughter, Cindy Hampton; her parents Bernerd and Rose; brothers, Jack and Darrell and sister, Dorothy.
