Pamela Morrison, 74, of Creston, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at Creston Specialty Care. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday June 17, at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue in Creston. Pastor Jodi Rushing will officiate.

Pamela Jo Morrison was born May 6, 1949, the daughter of Cleland “Squirt” Carl Paul and Gloria Winifred (Love) Paul in Creston. She graduated from the Corning High School in 1967, and continued her schooling for two years between Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda and Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.

On June 8, 1969, Pamela was united in marriage to Larry Wayne Morrison in Corning. They settled in Nodaway on a farm, then moved to Lenox for a short time followed by moving to Creston in 1970.

Pam was a homemaker until going to work at the Hy-Vee Deli for nine years. She later worked at Southwestern Community College in food service as the main cook for 12 years. In 1998, Pam began her 20-year career at Bunn-o-matic in Creston, retiring January 2018.

She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston, Creston Eagles Lodge and the Good Time Gals Kitchen Band.

Pamela Jo is survived by her four children: Chris Morrison of Creston, Kelly Morrison of LaVista, Nebraska, Shelly (Bryan) Law of Des Moines and Scott “Skeet” Morrison of Creston; six grandchildren: Aaron Morrison, Shastin Morrison, Kolby Morrison, Kylie Morrison, Haylee Law and Hunter Law; one great-grandchild, Jazz Davis-Law; sister, Susan (Darrell) DeLap of Grain Valley, Missouri; brother, Mike Paul of Creston; daughter-in-law, Julie Morrison of Logan; two brothers-in-law, Ron (Connie) Morrison of Orofino, Idaho, and Ernie Morrison of Creston and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Sharp of Bedford and Barb (Glen) Long of New Market.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Morrison in March 2023; and grandson, Kellen Morrison.
