Donna Allen, 44, of Afton, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023, as the result of a car accident in Ringgold County. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Avenue in Creston. Services will be livestreamed. Pastor Doug Wilson will officiate. Burial will be private. Open visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m., with family receiving friends 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home in Creston.

Donna Kay (Driskill) Allen was born Sept. 25, 1978, to Lauran Anthony and Cindy Kay (Neisemier) Driskill in Des Moines. Donna graduated from East Union School in 1997 and went on to study at Southwestern Community College in Creston in the field of education. Donna worked for Dekko in Murray for many years.
On June 29, 1999, Donna was united in marriage to Shawn William Allen in Creston. Together they had two children, Casey and Chase. The two settled in the Afton area. Donna soon began working at the East Union Early Childhood Center, where she met and cared for many children and families. After her time at the ECC, Donna and Shawn started a family business - Cromwell Ag, where she did the bookkeeping and was able to spend more time with Shawn and her children – Casey, Chase and Lauren. In the summertime, you could always find her out on the water with her kayak and best friends.
Donna is a former member of the Union County Extension Council.
Surviving Donna is her husband, Shawn Allen of Afton; her children, Casey Kay Allen, Chase Austin Allen and Lauren Hadley, all of Afton; her parents, Lauran and Cindy Driskill; a brother, Dustin (Missy) Driskill of Creston; two nephews, Scott and Leo Driskill; a grandmother, Leona Driskill of Afton; along with many relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death is her grandparents, Leo and Pauline Neisemier, Tony Driskill, Gerald and Betty Nixon and Florence Allen and an uncle, Danny Neisemier.
