Wesley A. Brzozowski, 95, of Creston, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Creston Specialty Care in Creston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 107 W. Howard St. in Creston. Father Patrick Amedaka will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Creston. Open visitation will be from 2 - 7 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Monday at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Wesley Alexander Brzozowski, son of Walter August Brzozowski and Anna (Majewski) Brzozowski, was born on March 27, 1927, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport in 1945. He also studied at Bridgeport Engineering School and Warren Institute in Bridgeport.

In July 1951, Wesley married Rita S. Holm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridgeport. They first lived and worked in Bridgeport where he was an inspector and later a sales representative for Avco Lycoming. In 1960, they moved from Bridgeport to nearby Huntington, Connecticut, until moving to the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area. Next, they lived and worked briefly in the Bay City, Michigan area, before moving to Creston in 1971. In 1974, Wesley became a quality engineer until his retirement in May 1990.

Wesley was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, actively attended Crest Baptist Church and was also a former member of the Elks Lodge.

Wesley is survived by two sons, Wesley (Sue Haddad) Brzozowski of Johnson City, New York, and Gary (Margery) Brzozowski of Sierra Vista, Arizona; six grandchildren, Diane Brzozowski of Fall River Junction, Vermont, Holly (Jeff) Murphy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, David Brzozowski of Tucson, Arizona, Sarah Brzozowski of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Abby Brzozowski of Colorado Springs and Rachel (Paul) Smith of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and four great-grandchildren, Harper Manley, Brooke Smith, Georgia Murphy and James Murphy, niece Dottie (Bill) Hurd of Newton, Connecticut.

Wes’ life has touched many people, and the family appreciates our adopted family, Perry and Brenda Strauss, Tom and Cindy Young, Phyllis Allen, Travis and Hannah Miller and Earldean Miller.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rita in 2016, a brother, John Brzozowski and a sister in-law, Helen Brzozowski.
