Frances E. Haltom

Frances E. Haltom (Blue), 85, of Creston, went to be with her Lord at 2:43 a.m. June 2, 2022, at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. June 25 at Bethel Chapel Cemetery, 1152 330th Avenue, Woodburn, Iowa, 50275.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery.

Frances was born Sept. 30, 1936, daughter of William and Pauline Blue, upstairs in their home in Derby, Iowa. The family moved to Lucas, Iowa, in 1940 where her father farmed. Her family then settled in Chariton, Iowa, in 1953 where she graduated from high school.

Frances married James E. Cooper soon after graduating and had four children: Diane, Cindy, Gary and Mike. She later married Roger R. Haltom and was blessed with the birth of Eric and the addition of three stepchildren: Mark, Utoni and Tahra. Roger and Frances were married for about 30 years before he passed. Frances then relocated to to Creston, Iowa, in 2003 where she remained until her passing.

Frances was proceeded in death by her parents, William and Pauline Blue; husband, Roger Haltom; sister, Maxine Browning; brother, Fred Blue; stepson, Mark Haltom and son-in-law, Mark Houser.

She leaves behind her children: Diane Beal, Cindy Houser, Gary (Tammy) Cooper, Mike Cooper (Monica Peterson), Eric (Jenifer) Haltom, Utoni (Bob) Ruff and Tahra (Curt) Ferguson; 21 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
