Kenneth Sackett

Kenneth James Sackett, 62, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, while surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

On September 9, 1959, he was born in Greenfield to Frank L. Sackett, who resides in Greenfield, and Nellie Gay (Redd) Sackett, who preceded him in death.

On September 5, 1992, in Greenfield, he was united in marriage to Cathy M. Eslinger who resides in the home.

Menards employed Kenny for 28 years. He transferred to Sedalia in 2010 to open the new Menards store as the General Manager. His passion was motor cross. He enjoyed going on motorcycle rides, fishing and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sisters: Brenda Besonen (Bill) of West Des Moines and Sherry Miller of Blue Springs, Missouri; three step-sons: Scott Eslinger (Janet) of Runnells, Jeff Eslinger (Bobbie) of Macksburg and Chris Elsinger (Mindy) of Afton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hardisty.

A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Greenfield 4-H/FFA Center building, Greenfield, IA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
