Fontanelle

Kay Leon Jensen, 90, passed away at Carter Place Assisted Living in Blair, Nebraska, on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born October 4, 1930, to Roy and Lole Jensen of Fontanelle.

On February 20, 1955, he married Linda Purdy in Fontanelle and they were lifetime residents of Fontanelle. They had three sons: Dev, Duff and David Jensen. Kay enjoyed playing bridge, watching and playing sports, with baseball being his favorite. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Kay spent two years in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He worked for Adair County for 37 years while also raising hogs, sheep and crops on his farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lole Jensen, his wife Linda Jensen of Fontanelle, infant son David Jensen and sister, Dew Cass.

He is survived by his sister, Joy Grantham of Greenfield, son Dev and wife Connie Jensen of Fontanelle, son Duff and wife Teresa Jensen of Blair, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

There will be a graveside ceremony at a later date.
