Larry Anderson, 83, of Creston, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the EveryStep Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston.  Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2021, by way of a Zoom connection.  Zoom meeting number and password will be posted later on the website under the obituary.  Memorials are to be determined. Larry James Anderson, son of  Leo Melvin Anderson and Hazel Evelyn Anderson, was born on September 22, 1937, in Fosston, Minnesota. He attended grade school in rural Polk County in a one room school and graduated from high school in Fosston in 1955.

On December 13, 1962, Larry was united in marriage to Norma Jean Little in Creston. Larry worked for the railroad, managing the Talmage Depot for several years. He then was a Comptroller at Vanmark Corp. Larry was instrumental in bringing the Rug Doctor products to the Midwest. Business operations covered much of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and south Texas until his retirement. Through his work, Larry and Norma went on many business trips, of which they both enjoyed.

Larry was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Creston, where he served as the presiding Elder for over 50 years. Though Larry never had children of his own he was loved by all of the young ones, especially because he always had candy in his pockets. Larry was greatly loved by all and will be sorely missed.

Larry is survived by his brother, Charlie Anderson of Fosston, Minnesota; sisters, Nancy Hayes of Black Duck, Minnesota, Carol (Bill) Johnson of Bemidji, Minnesota, and Susan (Roger) Hames of Colville, Washington; brothers-in-law, Dean (Shirley) Little and Dan (Connie) Little all of Creston; sister-in-law Judy (Glenn) Kolle of Socorro, New Mexico; along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma Jean in 2016, brother Mike Anderson, sister-in-law Carol Anderson and brother-in-law Bud Hayes.
