Beverly Lyon, 75, of Creston died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Church of Christ, 510 S. Poplar St. in Creston. Pastor Tim Haynie will officiate.

Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery near Oskaloosa at a later date. Social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Sharon Bluff Bible Camp or Creston Church of Christ. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com.

Beverly Loretta (Kliegle) Bliesman-Slater Robins Lyon, daughter of Paul Edward Kliegle and Lorna Vivian (Eveland) Kliegle, was born March 24, 1945, in Mahaska County. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1963 and attended Vennard College in University Park.

On Aug. 30, 1964, Beverly was united in Marriage to Richard Bliesman in Oskaloosa. They were blessed with one son, William. Beverly lived in Oskaloosa for 20 years. Beverly relocated to Mt. Pleasant where she resided for 20 years until moving to Creston.

Beverly was baptized into Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) in April of 1988. On June 13, 1993, Beverly married Pete Slater. Pete later passed away. While in Creston, Beverly was united in marriage to Eugene Robbins Aug. 3, 1999. Eugene later passed away. On Oct. 15, 2000, Beverly married Ben Lyon. They later divorced in 2014.

Beverly is survived by her two brothers, Walter Kliegle of Oskaloosa, Frank (wife Janet) Kliegle of Duluth, Minnesota; sister Belva Pettit of Palatka, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Bliesman in 1990, Pete Slater in 1998 and Eugene Robbins in 2000; son William Bliesman in 2015; brothers Gilbert and Robert Kliegle and sister Betty Rauch.
