Faith-based chiropractic office opens in Creston

Dr. Kevin Miller and his team at Truth Family Chiropractic cut the ribbon at their new Creston office Friday, Feb. 13 with the help of the Creston Chamber of Commerce.

Faith and family are joining science in Creston’s newest chiropractic office. Truth Family Chiropractic has opened their third Southwest Iowa office, now located at 300 Russell St. in Creston.

Staff celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of their new office Friday, Feb. 13, with personnel from the West Des Moines and St. Charles offices joining in.

“We have true family chiropractic here, and it’s been amazing. Creston, this community is amazing. Great people down here. We love it,” owner Kevin Miller said. “The response has been incredible. And our goal and mission is just help as many people as we can, adjust and educate the nervous system to express life to the fullest. That’s what our goal is, our mission.”

Miller opened his first office in West Des Moines in 2002. Then called EP True Chiropractic, his goal was to heal the community without the intervention of medication and surgery. EP True eventually morphed into Truth Family Chiropractic, a practice focused on helping people of all ages “reach their God-given healing potential.”

“We are a family practice, caring for pregnant mamas and their newborns all the way through great-grandma and -grandpa,” the company’s website says. “The design of the human body is not by chance. It was created uniquely to support and heal itself. Truth Family Chiropractic utilizes the philosophy of healing the body from above down and from the inside out versus the outside-in model.”

Miller credits the opening of the Creston office to Margy Gammell and her daughter Meg Jackson.

“Meg Jackson worked for me for several years, and she referred in a bunch of people from Creston that that would drive up to the West Des Moines office or the St. Charles office,” Miller said. “Margy told me years ago that I should be in Creston. When we finally pulled the trigger and got down here, she was so happy.”

With 15 staff members throughout the three offices, including three doctors, Truth Family Chiropractic is able to offer a number of services, including corrective chiropractic adjustment, posture evaluation, digital spinal X-rays, therapeutic exercises, Metabolomix assessments, Dutch hormone testing, vitamin D testing and functional systems analyses.

Those interested can schedule an appointment at truthfamilychiropractic.com/scheudle-appointment/ or call 515-309-3791. The Creston office is open Tuesday through Friday with varied hours depending on the day.
