Council to spend $22k on pigeon mitigation

The days of pigeons roosting at the Restored Depot are nearing an end after the Creston City Council unanimously approved a $22,211.86 bid from Orkin for pigeon mitigation.

The services will include removal and disposal of pigeon waste, removal of existing nests, installation of Flex Track along the roof edge and lower edge where pigeons are roosting and nesting and application of UV clear paint deterrent on the gutter system and window ledges.

The project is expected to take two business days.
