County continues with same HR

After hearing presentations from other human resource firms in recent weeks, Union County Board of Supervisors Monday approved to continue with PJ Grueffe, who has assisted the county with its employee and employment issues for the past 16 years.

Supervisors had stated there were no issues with Grueffe while researching others firms. Supervisors approved a one-year contract with Grueffe at a cost of $1,600 a month. Grueffe had charged $6,000 for union negotiations but waived that fee and added $100 to his monthly fee. Union negotiations are typically held every three years.

Supervisor Rick Friday said other county department heads were in favor of Grueffe. County department heads have monthly meetings which include HR issues.
