A Lucas man died in a one-car crash Wednesday in Ringgold County.
According to The Iowa State Patrol, James Cody Sage, 34, was on Highway 2 west of Kellerton at about 4 a.m. A 2015 Chevy Express 3500, driven by Sage was eastbound when it left the roadway and entered the south ditch before striking a tree.
Sage was pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office assisted the patrol at the scene.
