Laid to rest

A Norwalk Police Department patrol car leads the funeral procession Wednesday for Jayson Spurr from Creston to Norwalk.

A 1996 Creston graduate, Spurr was a Norwalk Police officer until his death March 23 because of cancer. He was interred in Norwalk. For eight years, Spurr was a member of the Air Force stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during his service. Air Force representatives and Cumming American Legion provided miliary rites.
