‘More than just skin deep’

From diamond facials and filler to IV infusions and weight loss help, Creston’s new medical spa, opened by Vitality Aesthetics & Wellness and CM Esthetics, has it all.

Owners Josie Burgmaier and Cassie Martin welcomed community members to their grand opening Feb. 3. Guests were able to tour the facilities and learn more about the spa’s services.

“We provide aesthetic services, which would include filler, botox, micro-needling, chemical peels, we have the diamond glow, vitamin infusions, weight loss,” Burgmaier said. “[Cassie] does a lot of custom facials.”

Martin said they also do spray-tanning, waxing and acne services.

Both women previously provided these services in Des Moines, but wanted to bring it closer to home.

“Well, we worked in Des Moines for the last few years,” Martin said. “We have a lot of experience in the med spa industry. We were tired of driving up there. It was time.”

“We got our experience we needed and we wanted to bring the services closer to the people we love,” Burgmaier added.

While Burgmaier and Martin provide services that appear to only focus on physical beauty, they say it goes farther than that.

“We definitely feel like beauty is more than just skin deep,” Martin said. “We’re about talking to people about their nutrition, their health. We are really getting involved in the high schools and talking to the kids who are suffering from acne. With Josie’s vitamin infusions, that’s getting a lot of the athletes from town, keeping them hydrated. Just overall health and wellness and teaching people to love their bodies and themselves for who they are.”

The pair does not have a website yet, but regularly post information on their Facebook pages. The spa is at 1720 Commerce Road.
